The Opportunity

The Master Data Quality Assurance (MDQA) - Regional Analyst is responsible for executing proactive quality assurance activities to ensure master data is accurate, complete, consistent, and compliant with approved enterprise standards. This role focuses on preventive QA/QC controls applied before and after master data changes, helping reduce downstream operational, safety, regulatory, and reporting risks.

The MDQA Regional Analyst partners closely with Master Data Analysts, Data Stewards, Data Owners, and regional business stakeholders to validate master data quality, identify systemic issues, and support continuous improvement of master data governance and quality maturity. The role supports critical enterprise initiatives such as SAP optimization, SAP+, asset data programs, and BlueWorx, with a strong regional execution focus aligned to enterprise standards.

What you'll do Master Data Quality Assurance
  • Perform proactive QA/QC reviews of master data (e.g., Equipment, Functional Locations, Maintenance Plans, and reference data) to ensure adherence to approved standards and business rules.

  • Execute data quality validations before and after master data creation or changes to prevent defects from progressing into operations or reporting.

  • Identify data defects, trends, and repeat issues; document findings and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with stakeholders.

  • Apply riskbased QA oversight, prioritizing data issues that impact safety, compliance, reliability, and operational performance.

Governance, Standards & Compliance
  • Apply and enforce enterprise master data standards, policies, and rules consistently across regional data activities.

  • Support enterprise data governance objectives by ensuring master data aligns with approved definitions, structures, hierarchies, and lifecycle controls (Create / Change / Retire).

  • Ensure master data changes comply with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.

  • Serve as a regional QA point of contact for interpretation and application of master data standards.

Quality Monitoring, Metrics & Reporting
  • Execute ongoing data quality monitoring and audits using defined KPIs (e.g., accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).

  • Contribute to dashboards, scorecards, and reporting that communicate data quality performance, risks, and trends.

  • Track recurring issues and support rootcause analysis to reduce rework and shift from reactive fixes to preventive quality management.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
  • Partner with Master Data Analysts, Data Stewards, Data Owners, and business SMEs to resolve quality issues and clarify standards.

  • Provide QA feedback and guidance to improve firsttimeright master data submissions.

  • Support regional and crossfunctional initiatives by validating data quality readiness and alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices related to master data quality and governance.

Continuous Improvement & Maturity Advancement
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen QA processes, controls, and preventive checks.

  • Support the evolution of master data QA frameworks, documentation, and ways of working.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to elevate overall master data quality maturity at a regional and enterprise level.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from a 2 or 3 year technical school program or Associate degree in administration, accounting, finance, business, or a related program

  • 6+ years of experience performing quality assurance, quality control, or data validation activities in a structured business or operational environment.

  • Working knowledge of master data, data governance, or data quality principles.

  • Experience applying standards, rules, or controls consistently across datasets or processes.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify trends and root causes.

  • Effective communication skills for working with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with enterprise asset management systems such as SAP PM/EAM or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with assetrelated master data domains (Equipment, Functional Locations, Maintenance Plans).

  • Experience using reporting or analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to analyze data quality and performance metrics.

  • Experience in regulated, safetycritical, or operationsfocused environments.

  • Understanding of regional business operations and the ability to balance regional execution with enterprise standards.
