Aquent is partnering with a leading global retailer dedicated to crafting inspiring spaces for customers worldwide. Our client is at the forefront of designing and constructing high-quality retail environments for a diverse portfolio of beloved brands, ensuring every store delivers an exceptional and engaging experience.

Start Your Career in Retail Store Development

Interested in how retail stores come to life-from concept to grand opening?

We're looking for a highly organized and motivated early-career professional to join our client's Store Development team and help support the design and construction of retail spaces across multiple brands. This is a great opportunity for someone with 0-3 years of experience who enjoys staying organized, working with different teams, and being part of projects from start to finish.

You don't need direct experience in design or construction-we're looking for someone with strong foundational skills and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do:

You'll play a key role behind the scenes, helping teams stay organized and projects stay on track:

  • Coordinate across design, construction, and real estate teams
  • Track project timelines, updates, approvals, and key milestones
  • Organize documents like floor plans, drawings, and project files
  • Help prepare presentations and materials for team and leadership meetings
  • Support communication across design, construction, and real estate teams
  • Monitor the construction process for updates and flag anything that may impact timelines
  • Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, invoices, budgets, and coordination

What We're Looking For

We're less focused on specific industry experience and more focused on how you work.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have 0-3 years of experience (internships count!)
  • Are highly organized and enjoy managing details
  • Can juggle multiple tasks and stay on top of deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Take initiative and follow through on tasks
  • Are interested in retail, design, construction, or project coordination

Helpful (But Not Required)

  • Experience in internships, school projects, or entry-level roles involving coordination or organization
  • Exposure to retail, construction, architecture, or design environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools
  • Experience organizing files, documents, or shared folders

Why This Role

  • Great entry point into retail, design, or construction careers
  • Hands-on experience supporting real store projects
  • Opportunity to learn how large-scale projects are managed
  • Work with cross-functional teams and industry professionals

Role Details

  • San Francisco-based (4 days onsite required)
  • Contract role with potential to extend
  • Standard full-time hours

Who This Is Perfect For

Recent graduates or early-career professionals who:

  • Enjoy being organized and detail-focused
  • Like working on multiple projects at once
  • Want exposure to how physical spaces are designed and built
  • Are looking to grow into project coordination or operations roles

This role is not focused on hands-on design or creative production-it's centered on coordination, organization, and supporting project execution.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $27 to $31/hr. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
