Foundry Operator (5th Shift)

Location: Mentor, OH
Status: Hourly
Shift: 5th Shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Reports To: Foundry Area Manager

Pay Based on Relevant Experience

We are seeking dependable and motivated Foundry Operators to join our team on 5th Shift in Mentor, Ohio. Whether you have manufacturing experience or are looking to grow your career in advanced manufacturing, this position offers hands-on training, stable employment, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in a safety-focused foundry environment.

As a Foundry Operator, you will support critical vacuum casting operations while working with advanced furnace technology in a fast-paced manufacturing setting focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vacuum furnaces, including Equiax, Directional Solidification (D.S.), and Single Crystal furnaces
  • Accurately record all required production and process information
  • Ram crucibles on all furnaces
  • Assist with D.S. susceptor, coil, and melt coil changeovers
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Engineering Procedures, and Special Lot Instructions
  • Meet established productivity and efficiency standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of production processes and materials
  • Organize work to support smooth and efficient operations
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete
  • Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, leaders, and internal customers
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications Experience
  • Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
  • Experience working with industrial equipment or high-temperature processes is a plus
  • Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
