Communications Specialist II

ReNuke Services is seeking a Communications Specialist II for our site in New Orleans, LA

DESCRIPTION:
M-F 8-5 shift (Hours 30-40 weekly)

To support communications work for operations business units, focusing primarily on development, management and execution of communications strategies for the Operations businesses, in alignment with the company, as well as plans for external use.

Typical functions include:
* Create feature stories about the business, our operational progress, profiling improvements, highlighting key individuals and teams in the business to illustrate our commitment to effectively tell our story.
* Assist in executing communications strategies designed to inform and align cross functional staff and internal and external stakeholders.
* Support communication needs for company leadership and multiple businesses, including but not limited to town halls, employee meetings, speeches, talking points, internal memos, presentations, employee articles, news releases, website posts, etc.
* Assists in preparation of weekly e-newsletter and other communications for employees.
* Implement broad-based employee communications, such as executive messaging and employee meetings, newsletters, videos, and other tools. Collaborate with senior communications staff and business partners on the development of key messages, Q&As, and other needed tools. Coordinate layout, production and distribution.
* Research, cultivate knowledge of and use social media to communicate key Entergy messages and drive operational leaders to amplify messages. Evaluate and recommend usage for optimal positive exposure for the company, its people and its businesses.
