As a Business Analysis Specialist (IT) within the Aerospace Front Line IT (FLIT) Manufacturing team, you will be a member of a team supporting the Global Aerospace Business Manufacturing IT Systems including Manufacturing Execution Systems. This is both a functional and semi-technical role where you will be expected to work directly with customers, configure/support applications, gather business requirements, and lead both small and large project efforts to support our business initiatives. This is in addition to report development using web frameworks in GE Proficy.

As a Business Analysis Specialist, you will partner and collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, internal IT teams, and external consultants leading projects, gathering business requirements, collaborating on system enhancements, facilitating user acceptance testing, and ultimately being the liaison between IT and business functions. You will also be responsible for working and coordinating with System Integrators on Projects. With distinct business functions operating out of different facilities the candidate should be open to a at least 25% travel annually with the potential for increased travel during key project milestones. This opportunity is based in the US at either our Pittsburgh, PA or Sylmar, CA offices on a hybrid schedule.

  • Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, testing and working with business processes.
  • Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes.
  • Ability to lead small, medium, and large sized projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

  • At least 4-year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Masters Degree in related discipline or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
  • 6+ years of IT or a related discipline experience.
  • Must have a strong ability to understand business process and translate the process into Functional and Technical Requirements
  • Track record of participation on IT project teams.
  • Possess the ability and desire to foster the development of junior team members.
  • Experience in any of the following technologies are a plus: QAD, Oracle R12, Kronos, and Proficy Smart Factory Manufacturing Execution System (MES) including Historian, Plant Apps, Operations Hub.
  • Experience with designing/developing web reports using SQL, Historian Time Series Databases, or experience in UI/UX is a plus.
  • Experience working with process control or IT infrastructure systems and teams is a plus.
