Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, serve as a single point of contact for all assigned project manager work efforts. Lead PMO within DHMP. Support, comply with,
and mature all DHMP project processes, policies and procedures to include championing continuous improvement. Manage assigned team member performance and quality of project/program-based deliverables - ensuring
adherence of all Denver Health and quality assurance processes consistently across all project/program work efforts. Mentor and coach PMO team members.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and manages work assignments for direct reports - ensuring adequate work effort coverage and fair distribution across the teams while facilitating succession planning for key roles. Able to fill in for team members as needed to ensure work effort continuity. (20%)
  • Role models coaching for leadership development, collaborative problem solving, and continuous improvement utilizing innovative, solution-focused techniques. Establishes and facilitates effective strategic and project management governance and oversight. (20%)
  • Proactively champions department and organizational initiatives, driving heightened customer focus, leadership development, and continuous improvement. Coaches, mentors, influences, and motivates project team members, stakeholders, peers, and resources to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. (20%)
  • Key PMO and department liaison with our customers, team members and vendor partners to drive successful delivery of large-scale, complex/cross-functional, multi-project programs managed within the PMO. (20%)
  • Analyzes and monitors budget, issue, risk and change management processes across all assigned program efforts, aligning with PMO standards and industry best practice. Maintains detailed understanding of project/program priorities and ensures alignment across all program coordination efforts. (5%)
  • Serves as a single point of contact for all program/project vitals associated with assigned work efforts; builds and manages all program deliverables; directs, monitors, and validates project team member performance. (5%)
  • Leverages Lean tools and techniques to collaboratively develop and operationalize essential standard work, with a bias for continuous process improvement. Leads team, department, and/or organizational Lean events. (10%)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in project management, including management of large-scale, complex/cross-functional projects required
  • 1-3 years of experience in direct personnel management in a manager, supervisory, or team leader role required
  • Experience with Lean Methodology preferred.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage several different projects, efforts, and initiatives.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic and tactical.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Project Professional, and Visio.
  • Ability to understand and use other applications and software solutions required to maintain daily business operations.
* This is a hybrid role with a weekly in-office requirement.
