Job Summary

The Inbound Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of incoming goods from domestic and offshore vendors. This role focuses on managing inbound shipments, developing standardized processes, and ensuring accurate inventory handling. The specialist works cross-functionally with procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to support efficient operations, maintain compliance, and improve overall supply chain performance. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures for inbound logistics processes
  • Coordinate and track inbound shipments from domestic and offshore vendors
  • Ensure timely, accurate delivery and receipt of goods
  • Communicate with vendors to schedule shipments and resolve delays or issues
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of inbound goods
  • Partner with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory records and proper storage
  • Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to support operational alignment
  • Ensure compliance with applicable shipping, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Experience in logistics coordination, preferably focused on inbound operations
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics best practices
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in logistics, inventory management, or ERP systems


Work Experience



  • Experience working with offshore vendors preferred
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs processes preferred
