We are seeking an
IT Budget and Asset Manager who brings operational excellence and lifecycle insight to the heart of our technology operations. In this position, you'll support the CIO in annual IT budgeting and forecasting, partner with IT senior leaders on accurate monthly reporting, and keep purchasing, licensing, and vendor payments running smoothly across hardware, software, and services. From contracts and recurring payments to lease schedules and endtoend asset tracking, you'll maintain IT asset records, design reliable processes, and produce clear reports that inform planning and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Include: - Organize annual IT budget planning as part of the firm's overall budgeting process. Gather and consolidate all IT budget materials, prepare appropriate reports for budget review purposes; work with Finance department to ensure accuracy in budget data; prepare and maintain information in the budget system and spreadsheets. - Coordinate, manage and prepare financial forecasts and monthly reporting processes, including monthly review of year-to-date spending v. budget. - Coordinate the purchasing, licensing and invoice payment for all technology resources including PC computers, servers, printers, scanners, networking equipment, software and vendor services. Arrange purchase approvals and purchase orders, track order status, and delivery schedules. - Analyze software requests from business users, including review of firm's license records to determine purchasing options; work with vendors to determine purchase scenarios; update software license inventory when people leave the organization. - Maintain listing of all contracts and recurring payments for management review. - Review and ensure accurate lease and equipment schedules. Coordinate timely and accurate monthly lease payments. Maintain lease records and projections and generate periodic reports for management review. - Perform oversight for the IT asset management programs. Monitor and track all IT assets from procurement to retirement. Design and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of hardware and software. - Manage asset identification data such as hardware serial numbers for the hardware management inventory and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable. - Establish and monitor processes to assign and track computers and software license assigned to end-users. - Generate asset and lease tracking reports as needed by IT leadership for planning and budgeting purposes. - May perform other duties not listed above. What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. - Experience with budgeting, financial analysis and reporting. - Proficiency in Microsoft tools (especially Excel) to analyze, compare and combine data from various sources. - Familiarity with purchasing and procurement processes. - Ability to read and interpret contracts to properly manage technology assets and services including license and maintenance agreements. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage tasks, and balance priorities. - Positive service-oriented demeanor. Preferred: - Experience in IT procurement, vendor management or asset management. - Knowledge and experience of software license assignment, compliance, software auditing and asset management. - Familiarity with asset management software and/or inventory-tracking systems. - Knowledge of technology asset life cycle best practice governance, tools and services. The pay range for this position in Seattle only is an annual salary of $103,785 to $134,310. This range represents Dorsey's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
