Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Airframe Records department. Ensures all aircraft records responsibilities are performed per the applicable aircraft Maintenance and Inspection Program (MIP).

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Responsible for overseeing the management of removed maintenance documentation and associated forms required by the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and the applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) specifically relating to 121.380.
  • Develops and implements the processes and procedures for managing a high level of accuracy necessary to keep airframe records efficient.
  • Manages and monitors the records team to maintain the Company's Maintenance and Inspection Programs' current status and the related aircraft records.


    • Airframe and Landing Gear Life Limited Parts (LLP) and Hard Times (HT)
    • Total Time in Service (TT), or Total Airframe Time (TAT)
    • Total Cycles in Service (TC), or Total Airframe Cycles (TAC)
    • Time Since Last Shop Visit (TSLSV) as applicable
    • Cycles Since Last Shop Visit (CSLSV) as applicable
    • Component Time Since Overhaul (TSO), Cycles Since Overhaul (CSO), as applicable


  • Manages the day-to-day workload of department supervisors and analysts to ensure a high level of accuracy to keep the department working efficiently.
  • Manages the electronic in AirVault and hard-copy maintenance records archiving of all documentation and associated forms required by the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable regulations (121.380).
  • Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of component transactions in TRAX (Pending / Parts on Hold).
  • Oversees the onboarding and lease returns of all new/returned aircraft from the FAA Operations Specifications. Provides technical records support to external customers in answering technical questions, researching/obtaining technical records. (LLP/HT, TAT, Airframe Back to Birth records and certified reports).
  • Manage Component Configuration for Next Higher Assembly / Next Lower Assembly configuration (NHA/NLA) tracking.
  • Work with internal customers such as Aircraft Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, and Maintenance Programs to implement required program changes or configuration changes.
  • Monitors all department training to ensure the department is adequately staffed with available backups.
  • Reviews and approves all compliance status reports for internal management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Prepare records and reports for all new acquisition aircraft as well as lease returns.
  • Assist in Special Projects as necessary.
  • Manage the day-to-day security and access requirements for all electronic maintenance records and documents. Maintain inventory of all records to ensure quick and efficient retrieval when required.
  • Process and review electronic maintenance records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and obtain corrections to discrepant records as necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison to the FAA, coordinating all records request.


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years' management experience required.
  • 10+ years' experience in an aviation maintenance environment (specifically aircraft components and records) preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree (4-year degree) or higher education emphasizes business or aviation preferred.
  • Aircraft knowledge desired, but not required - specifically regarding the Boeing 737, 747, 767, and 777 fleet types. Advanced understanding of AirVault, TRAX, AIMS functionality, and management.
  • Is computer literate, with a keen knowledge of Microsoft Office Software programs.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
