DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will be performing skilled journey-level tasks across various trades, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry, specifically in the construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. It is essential that you ensure careful handling and upkeep of a diverse range of hand and power tools, motorized machinery, construction equipment, and materials in order to complete assigned tasks At the direction of the supervisor, you will contact vendors and obtains price quotations, calculate costs of supplies and equipment, estimate man-hours required to complete assignments, prepare forms and submits them to the supervisor for review and approval. Additionally, you will lead a team of Semi-Skilled Laborers, Laborers and other personnel during the completion of projects.

- Full time, seasonal employment that runs from March through November each season. This position does not include medical benefits.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekend and holiday work is required from Memorial Day through Labor Day, during this time days off will be two consecutive days mid-week.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
