Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch and Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you'll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.

The Sales Intern will support Medica's National Sales and Sales Operations Division by contributing to the development of training materials, sales tools, and operational resources that prepare the sales team. This role provides exposure to how training, tools, and operational support come together to enable effective sales execution while partnering with a variety of internal stakeholders. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities



  • Event Coordination


    • Assist in the planning and coordination of virtual or in-person Fall Broker Forums



    • Research and gather information on platforms, venues and assist in decision-making



    • Coordinate presentations, marketing collateral for events, and giveaways, and manage event RSVP list






  • Training Content

    • Support the development of sales training materials to prepare the Sales and Broker teams for Open Enrollment
    • Assist with creating and updating presentation slides, and documents that clearly communicate products and benefits
    • Help build and maintain benefit grids and comparison tools to support effective selling conversations




  • Operational & Business Support


    • Provide operational support through report development, data reviews, and basic analysis



    • Assist with compiling information from multiple sources to support sales operations



    • Help ensure data and materials are organized, accurate, and easily accessible for stakeholders






  • Misc Sales Support


    • Provide support to the Sales and Broker Support teams by understanding job functions, assisting in processing requests for sales support and other administrative duties as assigned






Required Qualifications




  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing or related field of study




Preferred Qualifications




  • Previous experience in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service or similar field(s) preferred, but not required




Skills and Abilities



  • Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and team-player skills
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Proficient technical/computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full hourly pay range for this position is $16.40 - $21.10. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
