Job Description

HEICO Component Repair Group, a leading provider of FAA-approved aircraft component repair and overhaul services, is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic engineering team. This position provides hands-on training in aircraft component maintenance, FAA regulatory compliance, and documentation.


In this position, the Engineering Technician Apprentice may be required to disassemble, clean, repair, re-assemble, and test Aircraft Sub-Components in accordance with approved data.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform technical tasks related to the repair and overhaul of aircraft components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and repair specifications
  • Participate in testing activities and assist with setup, operation, and data recording
  • Maintain records in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Skills/Education & Experience:



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Basic understanding of mechanical concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or willingness to learn how to do it
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills


Physical Demands



  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools or small components
  • Occasional bending, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and exposure to dust or chemicals
