The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Customs and Duty Drawback Analyst.

The Customs and Duty Drawback Analyst will administer and oversee all responsibilities and ensure compliance with all customs documentation from an importation perspective. This role will also be responsible for establishing a duty drawback program and submission of all documentation to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for duty drawback.

The key responsibilities of the Customs and Duty Drawback Analyst include, but are not limited to:



  • Establish and document standard procedures for a duty drawback program
  • Determine proper commodity classifications, valuation, and country of origin/marking of products, equipment, and raw materials
  • Conduct regular audits of processes and documentation to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement new audit processes to enhance compliance and efficiency
  • Own Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and documentation for core processes as assigned
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development, and engineering) and external partners to resolve cross-border related issues and inquiries
  • Stay updated on changes in the US import regulations, tariff changes, and any other trade policies that may affect operations
  • Assist in training staff on compliance and documentation best practices
  • Generate reports and analytics on import/export activities to inform decision-making


Salary - $90,000 - $125,000

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Customs and Duty Drawback Analyst at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:



  • Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 3 + years of experience in import/export compliance, logistics, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of US import regulations, requirements of a duty drawback program and compliance processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies
  • Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in preparing export documentation and familiarity with shipping procedures
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to access and navigate shipping and warehouse facilities
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Must be willing to travel to Sidney, NY and Nogales, MX as required
