Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to support our Virginia Customer in the Northern Virginia area.



Responsibilities

    Developing, engineering, and deploying technical solutions.
  • Work with a small team of network and system engineers to implement technical solutions addressing challenging collaboration and data protection problems.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (preferrably from this client).
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience specific to developing robust, scalable IT solutions with a focus on building virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree related to specific skill from an accredited college or university.
    • Associates + eight (8) or No degree + ten (10) years related work experience.
  • Experience with developing robust and scalable IT solutions with building virtualization plaforms and related infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with testing, integrating and deploying systems and ability to perform full lifecycle system management.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with complex situations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, as well as working automonously and as part of a collaborate team environment.
  • Maintain relevant technical traning to remain current with evolving technology landscape.
  • Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.

Desired:

  • Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining sensitive networks.
  • Experience building, deploying, maintaining web hosting platforms (Microsoft IIS, Apache, Tomcat).
  • Experience building, deploying, maintaining database technologies (MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Postgres).
  • Experience building, deploying, maintaining Citrix Application Delivery Controlers.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, python, etc.
  • Experience with SIEM and security analytical technologies (e.g.: Splunk, pcap, Netflow, etc.).


Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
