Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) System Integration Test SME with at least 20 years of experience supporting the program. This is a part-time, on-call position located in Bellevue, Nebraska.

The selected candidate must be knowledgeable of DMSP ground system operations, hardware, software, and database configurations, interfaces, and interactions with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and correct errors and deficiencies.

This position will be responsible for the following:

    Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability.
  • Ensure items under test comply with requirements and standards through informal and formal verification methods.
  • Participate in reviews of systems and elements to ensure traceability of requirements through verification and validation.
  • Develop and prepare for the execution of comprehensive test & evaluation plans and procedures in accordance with performance and operability requirements.
  • Coordinate test, evaluation and transition activities with stakeholders.
  • Conduct test readiness reviews.
  • Compile data and define changes required in configurations, procedures, and processes.
  • Produce reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive test reports and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes
  • Plan and conduct CSCI, CI, subsystem and end-to-end testing to demonstrate functionality and requirements compliance.
  • Work as an integral member of design and sustainment teams in performance of contractual requirements.
  • Prepare test plans, requirement traceability matrices, test procedures, and test reports. Interface with the customer and associate contractors in the performance of duties.
  • Prepare and participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and test plan working group meetings.
  • Perform as a hands-on member of installation and test teams.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 20 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
  • Prior experience supporting the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP).
  • Must have a good understanding of hardware and software as applied to data processing systems and communications systems
  • Must possess the ability to prepare and execute comprehensive testing and evaluation strategies to ensure delivered software and hardware solutions comply with specifications and contractual requirements.
  • This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of software languages like FORTRAN, C, C++ and JAVA. Knowledge of Windows, VMS, and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Tools and RA Quest.
  • Good communications skills.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
