Overview:

The 2nd Shift Senior Manager, Manufacturing, ensures a safe, high-quality continuous improvement culture in a growing semiconductor capital equipment environment. The successful candidate will be capable of managing multiple complex priorities simultaneously with a "hands-on" style. The candidate must exemplify true leadership in developing their team through leading by example, coaching and employee development and will direct production activities of in-house manufacturing resources on second shift while meeting safety, quality, on time delivery and cost objectives.

**2nd shift hours are 3:30pm-12am. Senior Manager may come in earlier according to business needs**

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and coordinate all second-shift manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently met.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Manufacturing Supervisors and front-line teams, fostering accountability and engagement.
  • Direct production activities to achieve quarterly and annual operating plans.
  • Develop and manage production schedules and staffing plans for assigned areas to support operational efficiency.
  • Partner cross functionally with Planning, Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Purchasing to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Identify gaps and risks in manufacturing processes; implement corrective actions to contain issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and performance management; assess team strengths and development needs to support long-term growth and a high-performance culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
  • Track, analyze, and present key performance indicators (KPIs), lessons learned, and corrective actions on a monthly basis.
  • Champion safety excellence by delivering sustained improvements in safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Lead and model 6S activities to promote workplace organization, efficiency, and safety.
  • Drive and manage change initiatives, proactively identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities
  • Prioritizes production schedule based on customer requirements, design releases and materials supply.
  • Sets clear expectations for the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, with 10 or more years of progressive production experience required; equivalent training and experience will be considered.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including a minimum of 7 years managing both management-level and non-management employees, is required. 7 or more years of experience in systems manufacturing environment desired. ERP experience required, SAP preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Experience managing production of complex electro-mechanical equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Clearly communicates within the Operations organization and collaborates cross functionally to align priorities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, leadership principles, performance management, employee development, and change management best practices
  • Semiconductor capital equipment industry experience desired



Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $124,908-$184,000
