Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking caring and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our team! Available Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members. Website: https://midwest-center.com/ Position Summary: As a Midwest Center Recreation Therapist you will utilize professional training to provide appropriate treatment to the patient and their families. In conjunction with a transdisiplinary team, you will complete an assessment of the patient's condition, and formulate and implement individualized recreational goals. You will provide and coordinate therapuetic recreation programming, and manage cases in conjunction with the DBT programming model.
