Production Operator - Filler/Strainer

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Filler/Strainer to operate equipment used to fill and package latex-based paints while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.

Production Operator - Filler/Strainer, Huron OH

Starting pay: $19.04 phr + $1.00 shift differential.

Shift - 3^rd shift- Sunday- Wednesday- Hours are 9:00 PM- 7:00 AM. -Training will be on 1st shift for the first few months until fully trained. Monday- Thursday- from 5 AM- 3 PM.

SIGN ON BONUS OF 1,000 $.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and operate filling equipment and computer-controlled lines

• Perform product changeovers, minor troubleshooting, and equipment adjustments

• Conduct quality checks (fill weights, labeling, coding) and clean product tanks

• Communicating with maintenance/management on-line issues

• Maintain housekeeping and support production efficiency through teamwork

• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts

• Load materials into filling lines and assist in other areas as needed

Qualifications

• 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred

• Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required

• Basic computer skills and ability to follow detailed instructions

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to differentiate between product shades/colors

• Must complete required safety training and follow all safety practices

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 80 lbs.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, climb stairs/ladders

• Ability to operate equipment and work around production machinery

• Must wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, etc.)
