About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel trucks, trailers, forklifts, fuel delivery units, pumps, and warehouse equipment. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of equipment that supports our customers and operations.


What You'll Do



  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and drivetrain issues on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, pumps, and fuel delivery units
  • Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering systems, cooling systems, and electrical components
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles remain compliant with federal and state regulations
  • Perform welding, fabrication, component replacement, and equipment upgrades as needed
  • Complete maintenance records, repair documentation, and inventory tracking accurately and timely
  • Maintain shop equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Manage parts inventory and coordinate ordering of maintenance and repair materials
  • Conduct vehicle testing and verify repair quality through inspections and test drives
  • Support warehouse operations and assist with deliveries when needed
  • Occasionally transport or pick up fuel tanks and equipment for customers


What We're Looking For



  • Experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered trucks and fleet equipment
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, steering, and cooling systems
  • Experience performing DOT inspections and maintaining DOT-compliant records
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures
  • Experience with fuel delivery units, tank equipment, pumps, or similar industrial equipment preferred
  • Ability to read technical manuals and repair documentation
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Dependable work ethic and ability to work independently


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Cummins INSITE or similar diagnostic software
  • CDL Class A or willingness to obtain
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
  • Welding and fabrication experience
