Join us as our next Maintenance Supervisor reporting to our Engineering and Maintenance Manager. You will plan, organize and implement necessary activities to support manufacturing strategies and participate in the definition, development, submission and implementation of capital improvements for building utility or manufacturing processes and associated equipment.

Location Cincinnati, OH.

Salary expectation based on technical experience 90,000.00 - 115,000 usd

In this exciting role you will work with

Strategy design and execution

  • Lead and execute the maintenance plan and strategy to deliver reliability and on time execution.
  • Provide input to the local Maintenance plan and related goals with regards to e.g. production capacity, schedule of critical maintenance activities, changes in equipment, spare parts and inventory.

  • Build functional strategies locally through deployment of operational plans.

  • Develop a maintenance strategy based on equipment criticality (ABC).

Function management

  • Lead a team of maintenance specialists which executes maintenance activities, typically for a specific process area or technology.

  • Apply preventive maintenance plans and maintenance support to improve availability and reliability of plant equipment and prevent business disruption.

  • Provide input to the definition of maintenance budgets based on maintenance requirements i.e. resources, materials, and duration within assigned area of activity.

  • Conduct audits/inspections to ensure compliance of installations ofequipment and users with EHS and QM policies.

  • Identify, recommend and deploy improvements whether to correct non-compliant situations or increase productivity.

  • Improve stock of spare parts and disposal of obsolete materials.

  • Coordinate work of suppliers, monitor their performance and escalate issues to the E&M management and Procurement for resolution.

  • Provide support to engineering projects regarding operative procedures and equipment/installation trials

  • Developing and managing the maintenance budget, including tracking expenditures for parts and labor, to ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Ordering and maintaining stocks of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.

  • Developing strategies to enhance maintenance procedures and reduce costs.

  • Assigning daily tasks and projects based on technician skill sets and urgency.

  • Negotiating contracts and supervising the work of third-party contractor.

  • Performing routine checks to identify any need for repair or maintenance.

  • Discussing maintenance issues, delegating tasks, and providing technical support

  • Conduct root cause analysis with the implementation team to identify and resolve chronic issues

People management

  • Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the local Maintenance team and validate related results.

  • Work with local Operations and E&M management teams and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline for the function.

  • Promote the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function.

  • Performance Reviews Conducting regular evaluations and providing technical guidance or coaching.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in Engineering / related discipline (pre-university level), or relative experience

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations.

  • 2+ years of experience in people management.

  • Experience with CMMS Systems
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.

  • Experience diagnosing issues and making quick decisions under pressure.

  • Effectively convey information to staff and upper management.

  • Ability to plan work schedules, manage multiple tasks, and maintain detailed records.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure situation

Additional Requirements

  • Plant Engineering or Maintenance certification.

  • Experience in matrixed organization.

  • Experience with SAP
