The ADGS Custom Solutions Automation team in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in support of robotic test automation development and deployment. This person will work on a collaborative, fast paced team to ensure future Keysight products continue to achieve a low cost of test through automation. This is an R&D Engineer 4, Hardware position.


Responsibilities

  • Design new automated mechatronic systems as required to meet the needs of more complex and higher frequency products
  • Provide engineering support of new product integration into test automation solutions
  • Develop and adapt current test automation solutions to meet new product requirements
  • Create full detail CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in support of entire product lifecycle
  • Maintain BOMs and maintenance documentation
  • Look for opportunities to incorporate new technologies into existing automation that will decrease cost and increase reliability

Qualifications

  • BSME/MSME or equivalent
  • 6-7 years of experience in the mechanical design and implementation of robotics systems
  • Ability to develop effective designs and solutions quickly and efficiently
  • Proficient in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
  • Experience with ADCS automation database
  • Knowledge of Yellowstone automation systems
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to demonstrate analytic skills such as FEA for mechanical and thermal systems
  • Must have sound knowledge of mechatronic engineering principals
  • Ability to read and understand pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Ability to design simple electrical and pneumatic circuits and create schematics
  • Can work independently or collaboratively as required
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills (CAD, MS Office, Data Collection & Analysis)
  • Must demonstrate competence in mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, coworkers, and customers
  • Ability to use common machine shop tools is a bonus
  • Must be a "hands on" engineer willing to work with the build team
  • Must be a US Person
