What You Will Do as a Lab Technician: The Lab Technician is responsible for testing fabrics, garments, and trims to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. This role involves preparing samples, conducting tests, analyzing results, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the lab.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Perform testing on products in development (e.g., flammability, durability, dimensional stability) using various equipment and methods

  • Analyze results and document findings accurately

  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, including priority requests

  • Communicate updates to internal teams, including any issues or failures

  • Conduct wash testing using industrial and residential equipment

  • Participate in garment audits and support performance evaluations

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for product issues

  • Identify opportunities to improve lab processes and efficiencies

Skills for Success:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience working with, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment and machinery

  • Basic math skills and strong computer literacy

  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills

  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

  • Team-oriented mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with textiles, garment manufacturing, or lab testing
  • Familiarity with industrial laundering or quality testing environments

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a color vision test
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and following safety protocols

1st shift M-F 6am-2:30pm
