Intern MEO-Sphere Analyst

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Assist Platforms Engineering Team with analysis of MEO-Sphere, doing simulations, evaluating latency and other KPI and research the way to improve within the platform, working on adaptation of Satellite Simulation tool to have algorithms to improve features interfacing with Virtual Terminal systems like ESA and standard Maritime antennas to determine better performance. Assist with test plans.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Week 1-3: Work with team to understand satellite communications and different orbits, basic understanding of the platform.
  • Week 4-6: Work with team to understand current mPower platform performance.
  • Week 7-10: Start working on simulations using Open-Source Satellite Simulator.
  • Week 10-12: Wrap up final analysis about findings that can help our team to implement or adopt.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university; Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and maturity in the workplace
  • Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred
