Job Description:

Part Time, First Shift

The MRI Tech Aide provides clinical and clerical support for imaging services while helping ensure efficient patient throughput and department operations. This role supports technologists, nurses, and providers by assisting with patient coordination, communication, imaging support tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and operational support for the MRI department

• Assist with patient throughput and workflow coordination

• Answer phones, return calls promptly, and communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff

• Obtain and prepare imaging discs and outside films as needed

• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within the electronic health record

• Collaborate with technologists, nurses, physicians, and other departments to support patient care and department efficiency

• Assist leadership with training, workflow processes, and departmental protocols

• Address customer concerns and escalate issues appropriately

• Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and hospital policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Less than one year of related experience preferred

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Strong computer and organizational skills
