Job Description




As a Security Officer Guest Intake Desk in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Our Front Desk Officers serve as the first point of contact at a residential support location, greeting visitors, managing access, monitoring activity from a stationary post, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. At Allied Universal, you will bring clear communication, reliability, and integrity to every interaction while supporting a people-first culture built on teamwork and service.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring front desk activity, and assisting residents, visitors, and staff with entry-related questions and directions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing passes or credentials as directed, and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, document daily activity and security-related concerns, and communicate important information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and other concerning behavior through attentive observation at the front desk, consistent application of post procedures, and professional interaction with the public.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
