Position Summary

The Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation Center (IHSC) is
seeking a motivated and detail-oriented work-study student to join our team as
a Healthcare Simulation & IT Assistant. This position offers a unique
opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare simulation field,
supporting the preparation and execution of Objective Structured Clinical
Examinations (OSCEs) and other healthcare simulations for the academic programs
at the University's Health & Health Sciences campus. This position will
also assist in troubleshooting various IT tasks and issues supporting the
offices of the Health & Health Sciences Office of Academic Affairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting and assisting visitors, students, faculty, and staff entering the IHSC.
Respond to inquiries and provide information as needed.
Assist in setting up and breaking down simulation rooms for OSCEs and other training sessions.
Stock and organize supplies, including medical equipment, linens, and other necessary materials.
Ensure all simulation equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored after use.
Collaborate with simulation specialists to ensure accurate staging and preparation for each simulation scenario.
Assist with inventory tracking.
Assist with IT support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for staff.
Support the setup and maintenance of classroom technology.


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Experience with basic computer operations and an understanding of filesystems.
Experience installing, updating, and troubleshooting software.
Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and educators.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting or familiarity with medical equipment is a plus but not required.
