Warranty Rate Senior Financial Analyst - North America

What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for:



  • Conduct detailed analysis to develop US/Canada warranty rates for future vehicles currently in the product development pipeline
  • Monitor monthly US/Canada warranty rates and control the trends toward the defined budget
  • Participate in the annual warranty rates setting process
  • Running predictive analysis of warranty rate trends
  • Completing special analysis as required
  • Identify areas of process improvement and implement process enhancements


What You Will Learn:



  • Forecasting techniques and actual results reporting
  • Stages in the product development cycle
  • Develop relationships with various groups, including FP&A, Quality operations and Platform Finance
  • Understanding of Warranty practices and policies


Role Will Prepare You For:



  • Future opportunities in roles requiring strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial control expertise


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; or related degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of relative work experience with Bachelor's, or 7 years with an Masters degree
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to project manage a cross functional team through multiple tasks/assignments with relatively short deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships across multiple organizations
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles in regards to rate output


Preferred Qualifications:



  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Previous experience in automotive product development or manufacturing
  • Some previous experience with forecasting and interaction with the monthly close process
