As a WIC Program Representative with the Department of Health, you support an important mission that improves the well-being of women, infants, and children across Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on monitoring and supporting WIC vendor and grantee operations to ensure program compliance and quality service delivery. The work helps maintain strong protections for participants and supports the statewide mission of providing benefits to women, infants, and children. As a WIC Program Representative, you will perform the following duties:

  • Vendor Monitoring: Review vendor and grantee performance to verify compliance with regulations and program policies
  • Corrective Actions: Evaluate and track corrective action plans to make sure findings are addressed within required timelines
  • Training Support: Provide vendor training and assist with certification of point of sale devices
  • Fraud Detection: Conduct compliance buys, review reports, and document investigations to identify and address potential fraud
  • Application Review: Assess vendor applications and ownership changes, as well as recommend authorization or denial based on findings
  • Program Communication: Draft alerts and updates to ensure vendors receive timely information about program requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Work requires travel to conduct program reviews, retail store reviews, and Formula Distribution Center audits in accordance with policy.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience in administering the operations of a health, human, or social services program; and a bachelors degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
