In this position, you will assist the Plumber Supervisor and Plumber 1's to perform maintenance, repair, replacement, inspection, and installation on all types of plumbing systems and sewer lines. You will be part of a team that keeps essential systems running smoothly. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Skilled Repairs: Perform maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting trades
• Tool Operation: Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and improvements in a safe and effective manner
• System Upkeep: Inspect and maintain plumbing, heating, and electrical systems to ensure proper operation
• Construction Tasks: Remodel walls, ceilings, and floors and build structures such as shelving and cabinets
• Material Handling: Estimate, transport, and organize materials needed for work assignments
• Documentation Duties: Complete required work orders and forms with accurate details on tasks and parts used

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires participation in a 12-person rotation for weekend work, which occurs every 12th week, along with on-call holiday responsibilities.
• Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
