Overview

The IT Business Analyst-Senior (BA) will be a strategic partner responsible for defining, analyzing, and translating complex business needs into effective technical and processdriven solutions. This role will lead requirements discovery, process analysis, and solution design efforts across departmental and enterprise initiatives, serving as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.

The Senior BA will synthesize input from subject matter experts, operational teams, information technology, vendors, and senior leadership to ensure solutions align with organizational strategy, operational goals, and architectural standards. Acting as a "translator" between business and technology, the Senior BA will ensure that business needs are clearly articulated, prioritized, and delivered through scalable, highquality solutions.

Working in close partnership with leadership, the Senior BA will evaluate current-state processes and systems, recommend improvements, and support solution implementation within defined scope, timeline, quality, and budget parameters. The role will also provide consultative expertise to internal and external partners, support vendor engagement, and champion enterprise initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability, and customercentric outcomes.

Qualifications
  • High school or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in project management, business analysis, or process design and improvement to include experience supporting core business processes or implementing information systems required.
  • Health insurance experience strongly preferred.
  • Certifications including business process management, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or PMI preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (Project Management Lifecycle, etc.).
  • Ability to manage operational imperatives, achieve specific operational goals, and to prioritize and manage risk in an environment of diverse and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to establish strategic relationships and strategic plans with key business areas' management.
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and apply cost effective solutions. Utilize problem/symptom reduction techniques to isolate requirements and value-added solutions.
  • Ability to understand data structures, perform extensive data analysis, apply data management best practices, and synthesize test results into cohesive deliverables.
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proven examples of displaying the PBD values: Trusted Advisor, Innovative, Excellence, Guardianship, Dedication and Caring.
Essential Accountabilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide business process analysis and continuous improvement, identifying, prioritizing, and executing process redesign opportunities aligned to strategic goals, customer experience, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, business leaders, and IT to elicit, analyze, and translate complex business needs into clear requirements and process-focused, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Own end-to-end business analysis deliverables, including process mapping and documentation, system requirements, configuration and impact analysis, testing and QA support, data quality initiatives, reporting, and user adoption/training support.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to define scope, success metrics, and performance indicators for core processes; monitor outcomes and drive measurable improvements.
  • Serve as a change leader, facilitating process transformation through workshops, stakeholder engagement, issue escalation, and resolution of critical system or operational risks.
  • Provide functional leadership and team facilitation, influencing cross-functional teams, championing enterprise initiatives, and sustaining strong stakeholder and SME relationships.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate strategy, IT architecture, standards, and governance, contributing to business and IT planning activities.
  • Lead or support IT and operational projects/programs, coordinating with project management, operations, and technology partners to deliver on time and on value.
  • Act as a primary business liaison with vendors, supporting vendor selection, contract development, and relationship management in partnership with legal and relationship owners.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, tailoring messaging to audience and context through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of business strategies, processes, and stakeholder expectations across multiple functional areas.
  • Proactively identify process and system improvement opportunities that advance strategic objectives and operational effectiveness.
  • Apply strong analytical and facilitation skills to diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and drive informed decision-making in complex environments.

Hiring Compensation Range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
