Job Summary
The Director of Military and Community Partnerships has oversight of the daily activities of The Military Partnership, community education programs as well as the Bio skills Lab and Simulation Training Center. Responsible for developing partnerships and practices that improve the overall performance of these areas. Works collaboratively with Risk Management, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Government Relations, Research Institute, Academic Affairs, Clinicians, engaged physicians, leadership, and staff on planning and executing training and delivery of services across the organization. Ensures metrics and quality measures are established and met for HonorHealth Network.
Essential Functions
- Evaluates and directs educational programs, budgets, regulatory, DNV, and contracts related to Military Partnership, Simulation Training, Bio skills Lab, and community partner education. Identifies needs and/or improvements, provides evidence-based information, tests and plans activities related to Bio skills and Simulation Training across the network.
- Directs, evaluates, and leads the Military Partnership, Bio skill Lab, community education and Simulations Training strategy and performance for the HonorHealth Network. Utilizes data to develop practices/initiatives that will enhance performance, safety, quality, training, and community relationships. Works collaboratively with purchasing and legal counsel for provision of contracts involving Emergency Management, Military Partnership, Simulation, and Bio skills Programs.
- Directs all staffing, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, performance, coaching and developing managers, supervisors and employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and values. Ensures compliance with all policies and financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development, and maintenance of grants, funds, and budgets.
- Actively directs the building of relationships and collaboration of local, state, county and federal law agencies as to create partnerships and enhance Bio skills, Simulations, and Military Partnerships programs. Builds relationships to leverage resources to better serve community partners and HonorHealth.
- Directs all training programs under the Military Partnership Simulation Training Center and Bioskills Lab while promoting community relationships through quality education offerings. Ensures program and educational opportunities are available for staff regarding Simulation Training and Bioskills. Directs all aspects of innovative training that covers current and emerging risks and training needs. Works closely with the HonorHealth Foundation on program support and development.
Education
- Master's Degree Education, Nursing, or Applicable Field - Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Education, Nursing, or Applicable Field - Required
Experience
- 3 years Leadership or management experience - Required
- 5 years Experience in hospital leadership/management - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver License - Required
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator - Preferred
- ICS 100, 200, 700 - Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) State And/Or Compact State Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) - Preferred
