At Air Liquide, we believe your evolution is the engine of our innovation. We are looking for a Proposal Development Engineer to join our National Business Development team. This is a high-stakes, strategic role where you will transform complex customer needs into competitive, technical realities, securing the next generation of our onsite business across the Pacific. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Reporting directly to the General Manager for Commercial - Large Industries, you will be the technical heart of our process to secure new onsite/pipeline business for Pacific . Your mission includes:

  • Solution Architecture: Coordinate the technical design and engineering of competitive proposals, ensuring every solution meets the specific needs of our customers while maximizing reliability and efficiency.

  • Project Planning and Estimations: Develop robust project strategies, cost estimations ie. CAPEX and OPEX estimates, obtaining supplier quotations, facility scope, risk registers, and execution strategies.

  • Technical Sales Leadership: Partner with Lead Business Developers to validate customer presentations, provide technical sales support, and establish long-term relationships with clinical and industrial icons.

  • Process Excellence: Lead internal milestones, including Risk Workshops, "A & B Meetings," and alignment with Operations / E2E teams / Design Authorities, ensuring all technical documentation-from design basis to P&IDs-is precise and validated.

  • Safety & Integrity: Ensure that every developed solution adheres to our world-class Safety, Quality, and Industrial Management Systems (IMS), prioritizing reliability and "Zero Harm."

  • Seamless Transitions: Manage the technical integrity of proposals and oversee the formal handover to our Project Execution and CIE teams once the deal is won.

We are looking for a solution-focused engineer who thrives in a dynamic, high-visibility environment. You will bring:

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).

  • Industry Experience: Professional experience in Engineering or Operations, with a working knowledge of EPC capital project definition and execution.

  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in project management tools, cost/budget management, and a strong understanding of industrial equipment (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Controls).

  • Innovative Leadership: The ability to think "outside the box" to meet target Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and influence leadership through data-driven technical decisions.

  • Communication Impact: Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate various stakeholders, from internal teams (E&C, CI, E2E, CID, Operations) to high-level third-party customers.

  • Agility: A proactive "can-do" attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a changing industrial landscape.
