Job Summary

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to support daily production operations and help lead a high-performing team. In this role, you'll partner closely with plant leadership to oversee production and packaging activities, ensuring operational goals are achieved while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability within the production environment.
  • Lead and support Coordinators, hourly employees, and temporary staff to achieve production, quality, and operational goals.
  • Oversee daily production activities, staffing, and workflow to ensure schedules and customer expectations are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, product quality, and equipment performance using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees while managing performance, employee relations, and team engagement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Operations to support plant performance and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate production, labor, and operational records as required.
  • Support additional projects and operational initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated success driving safety, quality, and production results.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for developing people and improving operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing employee performance, training, engagement, staffing, and employee relations matters.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production flow, equipment troubleshooting, changeovers, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to interpret and follow SOPs, work instructions, production specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience developing or improving SOPs, standard work, and operational documentation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead team discussions, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Work Environment

  • This role operates primarily in a manufacturing environment, with regular time spent on the production floor supporting daily operations and employees.
  • Typical schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday; additional overtime during weekdays and weekends may be required based on business needs.
