Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Sales Manager is to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans to retain and grow global sales through leading and supporting a global sales team. This includes managing all aspects of the employee life-cycle for Account Executives and Industry Representatives. This role defines and refines ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles, sets sales territories, and defines resource needs in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations. What You'll Do: * Establishes annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for the assigned industry, ensuring alignment with overall business and company strategies.
* Participates in customer interactions to support the sales team in retaining existing business and attaining new business. * Sets quarterly performance expectations and coaches, trains, and aligns employee performance across all global interaction centers to achieve product line objectives and targets. * Participates actively in recruiting and employee lifecycle management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks. * Aligns behaviors and actions with ChemPoint culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating and encouraging innovation, leading with courage, and having fun. * Demonstrates job competencies and remains accountable for performance in area of responsibility. * Shows interest in industry and global trends. * Direct supervision for Account Executives and Industry Representatives.
* Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Performs other related duties as required or requested. What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited fouryear institution or equivalent work experience required
* Experience in a businesstobusiness sales organization or 5+ years of equivalent technical sales experience * Experience with customer and territory management * Experience and sound knowledge of using PC and Windows OS; database experience preferred * Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills * Consultative selling skills * Exhibits versatility when interacting with customers, suppliers, and outsourced relationships * Effectively conveys ideas and concepts through multiple communication methods, including excellent telephone skills * Knowledge of ChemPoint products and services and the industries served * Understanding of ChemPoint IT applications * Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills * Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy * Ability to determine and establish appropriate collaboration and communication points (people, teams, and organizational relationships) to achieve team advantages and customertargeted solutions * Considers aligning solutions with ChemPoint's vision, values, and guiding principles * Aligns behavior and actions with ChemPoint culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating innovation, leading with courage, and fostering an engaging work environment Where You'll Work: This is a hybrid role in Bellevue, WA or The Woodlands, TX.
