Job Summary:

Support Ready Mix operations through project management, technical oversight, plant coordination, and quality assurance. Manages mix designs, CAPEX projects, inventory, and compliance while contributing to safety, scheduling, and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

* Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Simon Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
* Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
* Promote safety of all operations in assigned area; actively involved in continuously improving safety processes
* Lead setup and oversight of projects within Command for One Colas Ready Mix initiatives
* Lead CAPEX projects, supplying to budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial projections
* Coordinate and support portable plant operations, including mine planning and mapping activities
* Manage and compile data for Colas Group projects and strategic initiatives
* Submit and maintain mix designs in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards
* Conduct concrete testing and ensure compliance with quality control protocols
* Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure material and project alignment
* Assist with inspections to verify craftsmanship meets specifications and production schedules
* Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and resolve nonconformities
* Serve as backup batch operator to maintain continuity of plant operations
* Provide on-site support to Ready Mix plant managers during active jobs and daily operations

Main Responsibilities Continued:

* Input and manage production schedules and reporting across Ready Mix units
* Track and reconcile aggregate inventory, including coordination of aerial inventory flights
* Assist with procurement of materials and parts, ensuring timely availability and delivery
* Verify order pricing and maintain accuracy of JWS
* Manage purchase orders and submittals for comprehensive project documentation
* Review and approve production crew timecards, ensuring accurate labor tracking
* Lead monthly operational meetings with employees to review safety, performance, company updates, standard processes, and employee recognition
* Assist in coordinating and advising supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning, interpreting specifications, and completing various phases of construction and manufacturing operations.
* Provide technical sales as advised

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Valid driver's license and clean driving history required

Skills:

* 3+ years of demonstrated ability in aggregate materials production, heavy highway/civil construction, and/or related field
* Self-directed, driven by results, and motivated; ability to work independently under general direction
* Proficiency in teaming up effectively with personnel throughout the organization
* Ability to collect and analyze information and recommend solutions for improvement
* Ability to influence others without having direct authority
* Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English
* Foundational knowledge of construction processes and/or aggregate, asphalt and ready-mix materials production
* Digital literacy using a range of programs and applications, including MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), database/spreadsheet programs, and mobile apps

Physical Requirements:

* Wears and maintains required PPE (personal protective equipment) to ensure safe performance of job responsibilities as required
* Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds with or without assistance to handle documents, equipment, and materials needed to support office and fieldrelated operations
* Regularly uses hands to feel, handle, and manipulate objects, write, and operate a keyboard and/or mobile device to complete administrative tasks, documentation, and communication duties
* Regularly communicates (talks and hears) and uses visual acuity to exchange information, coordinate work, and review documents and plans necessary for project oversight
* Regularly operates a vehicle to travel to and from work sites to perform inspections, attend meetings, and support project activities
* Regularly sits for long periods at a desk using a computer to perform administrative, planning, and reporting responsibilities
* Frequently stands or works on feet for extended periods and walks across uneven terrain to navigate construction sites safely
* Frequently stands, walks, sits, reaches, and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls to access work areas and complete required tasks
* Frequently works in environments that may include loud noise, moving equipment, dust, or varying indoor/outdoor conditions depending on operational needs
* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime; overnight travel may be required

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation*: $65,000 - $85,000

*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.

Benefits: All full-time salary employees are eligible to participate in Simon benefits as defined in plan documents.
