Material Handler

Responsibilities

* Work with the supervisor regarding the priority of the boxes that are needed daily/weekly.

* Retrieves merchandise and other items as assigned.

* Sorts and places boxes by order number/customer.

* Opens and closes boxes.

* Assisting assembly area during the day with proper product distribution when necessary.

* Keeps all sensitive matters confidential.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Functions as a team player to achieve team goals, objectives, and deadlines.

* Able to perform well under pressure and adapt to change easily.

* Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Must be able to accurately identify colors and shapes.

* Ability to perform basic Mathematical skills and ability to read and understand measurements.

* Ability to walk and stand for an 8-hour shift.

* Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 30 lbs.

* Able to work overtime, including Saturdays if needed.

* Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions (appropriate footwear).

Education and Experience

* Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

The hourly range for this posted position is $15.00- $16.00 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Florida. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
