Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist TWIC in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first approach while making a meaningful impact each shift.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and security-related response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout docks, warehouse areas, staging zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for personnel, deliveries, and vehicles, verify credentials and/or shipping information as directed by site procedures, and report discrepancies.
  • Support daily operations at a busy logistics and distribution location by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions, and communicating clearly with site personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
