About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Analyst / Test Engineer to support enterprise-level web-based and Salesforce applications, including Grants Management systems. The candidate will participate in all phases of software testing and quality assurance activities, ensuring system functionality, performance, reliability, and compliance with established standards and processes.

Business Analysis & Requirements Support

    Participate in all aspects of business analysis and software testing, including functional, regression, integration, load, performance, and system testing.
  • Quickly understand business processes, workflows, and data challenges associated with enterprise Grants Management systems and Salesforce applications.
  • Review, analyze, and refine business requirements, technical specifications, and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to support solution development and implementation.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing strategies for enterprise applications.
  • Perform manual, automated, integration, component-level, end-to-end, regression, and system testing across multiple environments.
  • Validate application functionality, performance, usability, and system integrations.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and coordinate testing efforts across project teams.

Defect Management & Troubleshooting

  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects using issue tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TFS.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot operational issues in coordination with engineering and technical teams.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting of defects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for recurring issues.

Quality Assurance & Process Compliance

  • Ensure all testing activities comply with established SDLC, QA standards, and change management processes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, testing standards, and QA best practices.
  • Develop quantitative methods, metrics, and reporting processes to continuously improve software quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all test artifacts and deliverables are well-documented, reviewed, and maintained.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare project documentation, including meeting minutes, business process documents, workflow diagrams, quick reference guides, testing reports, and status updates.
  • Maintain testing documentation and support audit readiness activities.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, defects, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Agile & Team Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project managers in Scrum and Kanban environments.
  • Support enterprise modernization initiatives, releases, deployments, and special projects.
  • Take initiative to recommend new strategies, standards, and continuous improvement opportunities.


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing for enterprise applications.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Strong experience testing enterprise web-based applications and Salesforce platforms.
  • Hands-on experience creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC best practices.
  • Experience executing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with issue tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TFS.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, backend testing, and data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with Salesforce testing, including Lightning components, workflows, integrations, and APIs.
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and change management practices.
  • Knowledge of Grants Management systems and federal enterprise applications is a plus.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives.

Background Requirements: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.
