Job Summary
The Director of Distribution and Logistics is responsible for the strategic leadership and execution of all U.S. Cardiac Management Solutions' field asset lifecycle operations. This includes transportation, product distribution, and equipment recovery to ensure optimal asset utilization, cost efficiency, and exceptional patient and customer experience.
This role drives cross-functional alignment across operations, field service, customer service, and commercial partners to implement scalable processes and advanced tracking technologies and data-driven strategies. The Director of Distribution & Logistics establishes a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring that distribution and logistics support business growth and enhances patient and customer experience.
Essential Functions
- Lead strategic directions for transportation, product distribution, field inventory management, and device recovery within a rental HME (Home Medical Equipment) environment, aligning operations with growth, profitability, and patient-centric service
- Oversee the field asset lifecycle (deployment, tracking and recovery), ensuring optimal inventory positioning, availability, and utilization across all geographies.
- Maintain working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all applicable regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA, CMS, HIPAA, Etc.), driving operational readiness accordingly
- Oversee carrier relationships, freight contracting, and multi-modal logistics (e.g., sea, air, road).
- Identify and Implement strategies to minimize lost or idle assets, maximize rental pool efficiency and minimize device loss
- Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing workflows, standardizing processes for asset tracking and inventory reconciliation, and implementing scalable models to support growth
- Leverage data and analytics to define KPIs, monitor performance, forecast demand, and optimize asset allocation and recovery strategies
- Lead implementation of systems and technologies (e.g., RFID, IoT, ERP) to enhance asset visibility, tracking, compliance, and digital transformation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Clinical Operations, Customer Service, Billing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align operations with patient needs and business objectives
- Communicate operational performance and strategic initiatives to executive leadership, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations
- Ensure a seamless, customer and patient-centered experience by balancing operational efficiency with service quality
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
- Master's Degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years experience leading teams in related field required.
- 5 years of experience interfacing with and presenting to VP level executives and higher.
- Experience overseeing highly visible, enterprise impact initiatives.
- Experience deploying inventory and network optimization strategies across multiple distribution points.
- Certifications in Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to work effectively at all levels in the organization.
- Proven track record and demonstrated success in related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and/or Access).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Warehouse Management ERP systems.
- Ability to offer innovative solutions for device distribution and patient consumption.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required for field visits and business alignment purposes.

The annual salary for this position is: $145,000.00 to $185,000.00
This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
