Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Department.



What you will do:



We have an outstanding opportunity for a newly created Assistant Director for Women's and Infants' Services (WIS) position. In this role, you will partner with the Director of WIS & PCS Nursing Operations in planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating patient care activities and nursing services for the Family Centered Care Unit and Special Care Nursery on a 24/7 basis. You will provide oversight for Maternal Fetal Medicine Nursing, Childbirth Education, and Lactation Services. In collaboration with the department director responsible for the development of standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards, evidence-based practice, and the Johns Hopkins Health System. Additionally, you will support strategic growth initiatives, drive performance improvement efforts, and ensure delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care that meets organizational goals and community needs. Maintains ongoing performance improvement activities to ensure compliance, high-quality care, optimal customer/patient experience, efficiency, and effectiveness to meet the goals of the organization. Supports the recruitment and retention of the care team workforce in alignment with our organizational mission, vision, and values to meet or exceed the needs of the community.



Who should apply:




  • Must possess a Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or related healthcare field. Candidate with a BSN may be considered for this position if they matriculate in a master program within 12 months of hire/transfer.
  • Requires 7 years of related/progressive experience including at least 2 years in management capacity.



Management scope (must meet one of the following):



  1. At least 2 direct reports with independent responsibility for people management activities and more than 5 total report


OR

2. Oversee a key functional area and report to Executive Director or above




  • Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the District of Columbia.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • Brings a creative approach to leadership and a forward-thinking mindset.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, financial analysis, physician relations, developing contacts, managed care contracting and marketing.
  • The ability to perform exceptionally well as a planner and manage numerous functions, programs and initiatives compatibly and simultaneously.

Salary Range: Minimum 69.81/hour - Maximum 108.21/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
