Job Summary: The Supplier Operations Manager is responsible for the operations and strategies of WellSense's supplier program and technology infrastructure. This position oversees the operational backbone of the supplier lifecycle - supporting strategic sourcing, contract execution, supplier onboarding, performance management, risk mitigation, and supplier offboarding. Operational responsibilities include ownership and design of supplier/contract management software, business leader engagement, executive presentation, program communications, supplier program policy management, compliance operations, documentation management, supplier data management, and onboarding/offboarding/implementation programs. This role identifies and leads program process improvement initiatives and is the subject matter expert for supplier operations, representing supplier operational requirements in corporate projects and initiatives. The Supplier Operations Manager is responsible for the cross-team/program level operational processes including but not limited to: Plan liaison, program communication, problem solving operational issues with input from subject matter experts, and expanding program scope in partnership with the business owners. The Supplier Operations Manager serves as a vital resource to the business in its effort to ensure adherence to all State, Federal, and other regulatory standards, and as the functional manager for the procurement software tool. Our Investment in You: * Full-time remote work * Competitive salaries * Excellent benefits Key Functions/Responsibilities: * Oversee the day to day operations of the Sourcing & Supplier Management department, ensuring timely execution of sourcing events, contract workflows, and supplier management activities. * Support development and execution of supplier operations strategy. Identify trends, risks and opportunities to set strategic direction for the supplier operations program. * Develops operational governance, policy, procedures and corresponding materials including but not limited to delegated supplier compliance requirements, onboarding and off boarding procedures, training procedures, quality measurement procedures, communication plans, and business continuity planning. * Serves as the operational point of contact for internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, and IT Security. * Support enterprise initiatives such as cost optimization, supplier diversity, and strategic transformation programs. * Partner with sourcing managers, business departments, and supplier relationship managers to ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and operational execution. * Manages program knowledge and documentation strategy, including management of software tools used for documentation storage such as supplier contracts, regulatory reporting, and performance information. * Develops processes and metrics for monitoring program operations performance. Prepares metrics and analysis reporting to provide insights into performance. * Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective use of digital tools across the supplier lifecycle. * Identifies opportunities to streamline sourcing and supplier management processes and improve stakeholder experience. * Develops ongoing status reports regarding the actions, outcomes, and program details of the supplier operations program. Partner with teams to address pain points and improve the experience. * Participate in internal audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to support business direction and guidance. * Undertake process re-design and process improvement initiatives, obtain stakeholder input and build consensus, and implement new processes. Analyze KPIs to identify areas of opportunity, and create & execute action plans to improve the experience. Coordinate and lead meetings to assess performance, ROI, operational issues, future planning and industry trends. Develop methodologies and infrastructure to measure the impact of executed initiatives. * Represent supplier operations as the subject matter expert on corporate initiatives. Makes recommendations related to supplier impact and operations. Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues on a timely basis. * Responsible for ensuring documentation of components of the programs necessary for compliance with regulatory standards and submission to external agencies. * Other duties as assigned Supervision Exercised: * Provide guidance to operational analysts within the department Supervision Received: * Regular weekly supervision through one on one conversations and team meetings. Qualifications: Education Required: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Education Preferred: * Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience Required: * 3+ years of health insurance/managed care experience required. * 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or vendor management Experience Preferred/Desirable: * Process improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) * Experience managing or implementing procurement technology platforms Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment: * Successful completion of pre-employment background check Competencies, Skills, and Attributes: * Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract lifecycle management, and supplier governance * Exceptional written and oral communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders. * Superior meeting facilitation skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. * Proactive, motivated, and a collaborative team player. * Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. * Ability to analyze, compile, format, and present data to a variety of stakeholders. * Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency with MS tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project. * Effective collaborative and proven process improvement skills. Working Conditions and Physical Effort: * Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position. * Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office remote work environment. * No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Compensation Range $77,000- $112,000 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensure as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
