As a Senior Lean Operations Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives and embed Lean principles across IDEXX through the IDEXX Excellence System. This role is responsible for managing a team of Lean leaders while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive process optimization, improve productivity, and deliver measurable operational results. You will play a key role in shaping and advancing a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data, Lean methodologies, and strong leadership to enhance efficiency and customer experience across a global organization. By driving Lean transformation and empowering teams, you directly impact productivity, quality, and operational performance-enabling IDEXX to deliver innovative solutions reliably to customers worldwide. In this role:* You will develop, implement, and sustain Lean transformation strategies aligned with the IDEXX Excellence System. * You will conduct value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements. * You will establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of continuous improvement initiatives. * You will collaborate with leadership to prioritize opportunities and allocate resources effectively. * You will lead, manage, and develop a team of Lean leaders, including managers and supervisors. * You will manage escalated and critical issues and drive resolution across operations. * You will coach and develop employees, supporting performance management and growth. * You will contribute to organizational strategy and Operational Excellence direction. * You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver improvement initiatives. * You will leverage data, metrics, and system tools to improve efficiency and customer experience. * You will identify risks, challenges, and opportunities and proactively implement solutions. * You will prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for senior leadership. * You will lead and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and projects. What you need to succeed:* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field required; Master's degree preferred * 7+ years of leadership experience with strong people management capabilities * Proven expertise in Lean methodologies and operating system deployment * Demonstrated success implementing Lean principles and delivering measurable results * Experience with value stream mapping, process improvement, and KPI management * Strong project management and change management skills * Experience with ERP systems and process mapping tools * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Work Environment & Physical Requirements:* Primarily a general office environment with standard noise levels * Extensive sitting, standing, and computer use * Occasional physical activity including reaching, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds * Travel required to support enterprise initiatives * Some exposure to industrial environments may require proper PPE What you can expect from us:* Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually * Annual cash bonus opportunity * Performance-based merit increases * Day-one health, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) with 5% company match * Generous paid time off * Additional benefits including: Pet insurance, Mental health resources, Paid volunteer time, Employee stock purchase program, Donation matching programs Why IDEXX?We're proud of the work we do because it matters.
