About the Role:

The Maintenance Electrical Lead A is a critical position responsible for overseeing and executing electrical maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and safety of all electrical systems within the facility. This role involves leading a team of electricians and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and infrastructure. The successful candidate will coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, manage emergency repairs, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. They will serve as a technical expert and mentor, providing guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Ultimately, this role ensures minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency through effective electrical maintenance leadership.

REQUIRED Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Valid electrician license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical manuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians in performing routine and emergency electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations teams to coordinate work schedules and optimize system performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior electricians and maintenance staff.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reliability.
