A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,977 - $92,609 Application Window Open date: May 27, 2026 Next review date: Thursday, Jun 11, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, May 27, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Teacher Credential program in the UC Davis School of Education (SOE) invites applications for a pool of qualified Supervisors of Teacher Education (TE), should an opening arise. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies each year, depending on instructional needs. These are primarily part-time positions for a one-year, cohort-based program. Reappointment, if any, is based solely on instructional needs. Each Supervisor of TE must undergo an annual review, the outcome of which must be positive, before they can be considered for reappointment. We are seeking applicants who have expertise in teaching linguistically and culturally diverse students, as well as mentoring or supervising teacher candidates. Supervisors teach and/or contribute to a weekly student teaching seminar and formally supervise each student-teacher a minimum of four times per quarter. Supervisors are expected to provide high-quality instruction, mentorship, and supervision according to California Commission on Teaching Credentialing and program requirements; assist in weekly seminar courses (two hours per week); and submit reports and required documentation according to deadlines. Specifically, the Supervisor of Teacher Education is responsible for the following: Qualifications: Preferred: At least one year of experience as a resident teacher. A California Teaching Credential(s) in the content area of Bilingual Authorization (BILA), Multiple Subject, and/or Single Subject Math. The School As an academic unit, the SOE is designed to support the development of knowledge useful to strengthening schooling systems across California's varied and changing population. To achieve this mission, faculty and staff within the SOE are committed to offering high-quality graduate and professional preparation programs and to engaging in collaborative research with elementary and secondary school teachers, administrators, and other educators. A California Teaching Credential and a minimum of three years of teaching experience in the content area of the student being supervised; recent professional experience in school settings where the curriculum aligns with California's adopted content standards and frameworks.
