Material Control Technician

Position Overview:

* Weekdays shift: Monday through Thursday 6:00am-6:30pm 6:00pm-6:30am.

* Weekend shift: Friday through Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm or 6:00pm - 6:30am.

Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times and days.
Responsibilities:

* Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks.

* Complete all assigned QMS training and keep up to date before performing a task.

* Operate systems and equipment such as computers, software, and printers as trained and specified.

* Operate warehouse equipment such as manual pallet jacks for pallet movement and Plastic Baler.

* Able to replenish the Material Control Room and prepare components for transfer to the clean room based on Kanban System.

* Accurate and timely ERP System (SAP) transaction of any material movement performed to support Kanban System.

* Prompt response to handheld portable two-way radio transceiver.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Minimum Requirements:

* No previous experience required, will be trained.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

* Experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.

* Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively.

* Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

* Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs.

* Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks.

* Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day.

* Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally.

* Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
