Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements by building and executing both manual and automated test suites in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Lead test planning at a team level, ensuring stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria
• Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types
• Condition and generate test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
• Execute manual and automated test cases, record test results, and report issues and defects
• Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary
• Create and manage traceability through the development lifecycle back to requirements
• Maintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc)

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Functional and Automation testing
• Strong proficiency with Selenium and Cucumber
• Experience with BDD, PL/SQL, and API testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD, GIT, Rest Assured, SoapUI, and Postman
• Familiarity with Agile Processes and JIRA
• Experience with NoSQL (Mongo), Kubernetes, and Kafka

Desired skills:

• Experience with Octane
• Knowledge of Core Java and OOPS concepts

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
