BUSINESS UNIT: Sanitation

FUNCTION: Cleans manufacturing equipment, production tools, floors.

REPORTS TO: Chris Scott

HOURS: 5:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (12 Hour Shifts)
Normal work schedule for this position is on rotating weeks, as follows:

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of plant common areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and designated production-adjacent areas. This role supports food manufacturing operations by ensuring the facility is clean, orderly, and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety requirements. The Janitor may also perform limited sanitation support tasks traditionally associated with machine cleaning, excluding full equipment disassembly or CIP processes.

PRIMARY Employees are expected to work on the sanitation area team of appointment. Employees will be trained how to clean and sanitize the production equipment are area that they have been assigned to. Assignment is dependent on relative crewing needs across the facility.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
