| Position Purpose |
To support the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual Public Health Opportunities Expo for Master of Public Health (
MPH) students at Geisel. This event connects students with public health practitioners, researchers, faculty, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to explore volunteer, research, internship/practicum, capstone, and career opportunities in public health.
Working under the direction of the Director of Experiential Learning, the Coordinator manages communications, event logistics, participant outreach, and operational planning to ensure a successful and engaging experience for students and community partners. |
| Required Qualifications |
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and details independently while working collaboratively under supervision.
- Experience with event coordination, higher education programming, community engagement, or public health initiatives preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online survey/event management tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Excel, Google Workspace).
- Interest in public health, healthcare, higher education, or community partnerships preferred.

- Coordinates planning and implementation of the annual Public Health Opportunities Expo.
- Communicates with public health practitioners, faculty, researchers, healthcare organizations, and community partners regarding participation and event logistics.
- Develops and distributes outreach materials, invitations, surveys, reminders, and follow-up communications.
- Tracks RSVPs, participant information, and organizational details using spreadsheets and/or survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
- Compiles and organizes participant descriptions and materials for student distribution.
- Coordinates poster printing requests and related event materials.
- Collaborates with faculty and program staff to support event goals, timelines, and participant engagement.
- Assists with venue coordination, room setup, signage, registration, and day-of event operations.
- Serves as a point of contact for event participants and respond to questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Supports efforts to ensure broad representation from diverse public health and healthcare organizations.
- Contributes to continuous improvement of the event through organization, communication, and post-event feedback collection.
