What you'll be doing: The Functional Integrator is responsible for leading the design, development and integration of automotive ADAS features from concept to production execution (ex. Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Active Lane Management, Active Driving Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, "L2+" Hands Free Active Driving Assist) with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Feature project management
- Customer feature objectives
- Feature design and architecture
- Software requirements development
- Leading software developers to implement our requirements
- Leading engineers from different components (brakes, steering, powertrain, HMI, infotainment) in the integration of ADAS features into their systems
- In-Vehicle testing of features, requirements, software, performance
- Supervising calibration of features
- Interface to vehicle program teams, manufacturing, quality, etc for items related to ADAS features
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience OR Significant contribution to a student design project (ex. Formula SAE/Formula Student, Baja SAE, FIRST Robotics or equivalent).
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
- Interested in/Passionate about ADAS/ Autonomous Driving or Cars in general
- Takes initiative, comfortable working on open ended tasks
- Driver's license and confident driving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Applied Science:
- Preferred: Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics
- Consider: Computer, Software, Networking, Civil, Computer Science, Physics
- Student design project (ex. Formula SAE/Formula Student, Baja SAE, FIRST Robotics, any project where you work with others on a competitive engineering project)
- Interest/hobbies in cars/vehicles/houses/mechanical things
- Enjoys working on cars, racing, powersports, home renovations
- Interest in/hobbies in hands-on EE or software projects
- Ex. Arduino, Rasberry PI, home automation, robotics, etc
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience managing suppliers and/or engineers
- Experience with component/module design and release
- Understanding of automotive development process
