The Coordinator - Resource Planning Process & Controls serves as the central owner of resource planning processes, schedules, and governance. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a structured, repeatable planning workflow that aligns IRP development, regulatory filings, MISO timelines, and internal workstreams. The Coordinator ensures cross-functional coordination, eliminates bottlenecks, and maintains clear accountability, enabling the Resource Planning team to execute on time, with consistency, and with full visibility across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, sense of belonging, customer service, and operational excellence. Maintain the master Resource Planning schedule aligning IRP, MISO, LPSC, and internal workstreams. Establish and enforce Resource Planning processes, controls, and governance, including clear roles, handoffs, and accountability. Develop and maintain the Resource Planning playbook documenting workflows, procedures, and decision checkpoints. Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment, timely execution, and consistent inputs across all stakeholders. Track milestones and deliverables to ensure all planning, regulatory, and submission deadlines are met. Identify and remove process bottlenecks to improve workflow efficiency and execution reliability. Ensure consistency, traceability, and documentation of planning inputs, outputs, and decisions. Serve as the central coordination point for Resource Planning activities, maintaining a single aligned process and schedule across the organization.
Qualifications Required Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field and/or 5+ years of related experience. 5+ years' experience in utility industry preferred including one or more areas of expertise: project management, finance, accounting, analytics, deal structure, IT, supply chain, operations. Prior experience in one or more preferred including: implementing change management, process development and execution, process governance, or committee leadership. Ability to negotiate and influence with a consultative approach, preferred experience successfully establishing and supporting cross-functional collaboration within a company Critical contributor to Cleco's IRP development and alignment with existing and future portfolio strategies Day to day manager of workstreams team in maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables, and seeking clarification from SMEs and leaders within Cleco. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job Demonstrated ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
